Hi, i have recently done a update install from 98 to XP.
I have 3 user accounts on XP. As i did a update install,
my programs and files were carried forward to XP.

One of the programs that i use is advanced uninstaller
pro. I reguraly use this program for a no of tasks
including cleaning up temp internet folder. My question
is why is it that when i run this program to clean up the
temp internet folder, it only finds files relevant to
that particualar account?? Then, when i log into another
account and run that program again, i find files relevant
to that account. This is very inconvenient for me now as
i have to log into diff accounts and run the program
again to delete these files.

can anyone help?

Get a good file search program (Agent Ransack for example) and use it to find and clean out all 'temp', 'cookies', 'and temporary internet files' folders.

While you are at it find all 'recent' folders and clean out the content. Find and delete .old and .bak files. Then start on the 'readme' files, other .txt files and log files. Be careful with these last two - If you are not sure deleting them is safe, leave them alone!

This is the expected behavior for a multi user operating system. Each user
has their own set of these default files. You might want to check with the
maker of that software to see if they have an update that will make it
compatible with XP.
