For some reason my laptop will not update in real time. I have to click enter
or refresh one or two times before I see a result of something I have read.
Is there a way I can fix this problem? It is especially difficult when taking
online classes and trying to respond to others.

Two things come to mind. First, how fast is the connection? And this
depends on the speed of the server that is hosting the session and the
line connection speed between the server and the remote (i.e., your)
system. What is the rate that the server is refreshing the graphics?
Second, even with fast connections, what is the content of the online
material? It is one thing to be texting amongst friends and another to
download a complex, graphics-oriented page.

I have a cable connection and my speed seems to be fine. Everything else
seems to work fine except when I am doing my online classes and checking
email. I can click on the post and then read what is written and when I hit
ok and the screen comes back up it looks as though I have never read the
posting. In order for it to show that I have read it I have to hit ok at
least two times before it shows that I have read it. I already spoke with
tech support through the school and they tell me it is my laptop not updating
in realtime and there is nothing that they can do. This just started
happening a few months ago. Before that I did not have any problems.
