Update for Windows Media Format 11 SDK (KB929399) continually inst

I am having a problem with the update related to KB929399, (Update for
Windows Media Format 11 SDK for Windows XP). I installed it via Automatic
Updates on the 11th, and now it continually wants to install from Automatic
Updates and even through Microsoft Update. I have installed it again through
both methods, but the update keeps returning. Does anyone know how I can get
it to stop installing this update?

Thanks.

Thank you for the link to those steps Rey. I went through them, and the
update still wanted to install after I rebooted the computer from Safe Mode.
I would follow Step 4, (which is to contact Microsoft about it), but it won't
let me email the Windows Update support team without paying a fee.

Does anyone know if there is an easier fix, or a more direct way to contact
Microsoft about Windows Updates issues?

Try Manual Update:
Control Panel > Security Center
1. On the left click Check for the latest updates
2. On the window that appears click Custom button
3. If Update for Windows Media Format 11 SDK (KB929399) appears click the
box beside it to check it. Click it again to remove the check mark
(decrip[tion will show). Click the box again to check it. This will enable
the the box Don't show this update again, click it to check it.
4. Now on the left pane click install update.
5. Now on the left pane under Select by Type, click High Priority, it
should be gone.

OR
On the Add/Remove Programs, click the box on top show updates to check it.
Remove the update and do a manual update as described above.

I am having the same problem as Adam J and followed Rey Santos' instructions
but it did not help. KB929399 keeps appearing on Windows Updates even though
it has been installed. Even Belarc shows it as being installed. What's up
with this KB929399 update, Microsoft????
