Download this file and put it into the Microsoft Anti-
Spyware program's folder and run this instead of running
Microsoft's obviously broken update procedure.

What this will do is download the three files that update
the signature files.

Note: You may run this file anywhere, BUT you will need to
move the files it downloads yourself, if you do not run it
from within the Microsoft Anti-Spyware folder.

This should work until Microsoft fixes there's.

Hi Edward

You didnt reply to my question so i wanted to post it
again incase you missed it,If you are genuine and this is
a genuine file then it shouldnt take you long to comment
to my question

Ive not tested your file so im not saying theres anything
wrong with it but i do notice if you change it to .txt
rather than .exe it says you agree by running it not to
hold any third party responsible for anything, you also go
on to say its a test and is not supported in anyway and
if users do not agree they should not use the file.

Ive decided to follow your advise and not use it but
again im not saying theres anything wrong , i just
cannot understand why people would want to use it when
Robin Walker has provided a fix for this which doesnt
involve downloading unknown programs from a unknown
source. I noticed your download went off for a while then
when it came back it was different to the original can
you explain this ?

first file said this in the text :

C:\Program Files\CDG Ripper\MSINET.oca

Now that has been dropped and replaced with :

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VB98\VB6.OLB

Im interested why the change ?

Andy

I have replied to you question. The other fix only fixed 1
pc out of the 5 that I tried on.

Thanks

Hi Edwards thanks for replying

do you mean the fix you posted yesterday only worked on 1
in 5 pc's so you had to change it.I thought you said it
was Robin Walkers method that only worked 1 in 5 ?

If thats what you mean then im still curious why the text
in the file has changed which i mentioned in the original
post.If the fix you posted yesterday does only work in 1
in 5 pc's then its probably best that users use Robin
Walkers fix as that will work on all systems ,or at least
all the system ive tried this on .

Its got nothing to do with untrusting people really, i
posted a reply and you didnt answer so it raises
questions of how genuine the file is

If this is a genuine fix then it must be a work in
progress as like i say the text in the file has changed
so i dont think its too much to ask what the change is
all about as like i said in a previous post you didnt
reply to my question which was simple in my view and you
are not posting a email address so you really must expect
some questions when you do not reply and have changed the
file since yesterday

No offence to you if you are helping users but you cannot
be too carefull these days and if you write programs you
really should appreciate this its very easy to write a
program that contains both genuine and malicious code so
all i was asking was why the change in the file? Ive made
my point with this though and will let all the users
decide for themselves whats best for them.

I dont have anything against your program and havent run
it on my system but was curious why the version from
yesterday has changed today.

I can see youve made more posts so i will not interfere
with your business i just got suspicious as i knew you
had read my comments but chose to ignore them which i
didnt understand why you would if its a genuine change.

Like i say no offence i cannot comment more as im not
going to run the fix but i appreciate other may want to
so i'll leave you to post without making any comments
