Hello All,

First of all do the fix of Robin Walker if you running version .614,
The gcUnCompress.dll in the C:\windows\system32 folder must be 93.2k and
from version .614!!

Then if the update wont work (still if you update, update again and again)
Then I think I found an update fix that shall do the trick for the
moment and maybe for good!
This is tested on two computers at the moment!

In the map C:\Windows\installer there are a lot of maps with numbers
like:{77E70C3C-DBB9-4C47-8663-1E1F81FEC623}
Start searching for "GC",
Then if one of the maps comes with those files:

ARPPRODUCTICON.exe
gcasSWUpdater.exe_536F7C74844B4683B0C5EA39E19A6FE3.exe
Shortcut1_536F7C74844B4683B0C5EA39E19A6FE3.exe

Delete the whole map with the number.

Then also clean all your Internet temp folders!

Then do the MSAS update!

Then because you lost you installer icon in Ad/remove software, you must
run MicrosoftAntiSpywareInstall.exe again and choose repair!
The files you delete in C\windows\installer are there again, but after
testing the update works correct.

This fix hasn't worked either. I'm still stuck
with 'Warning! Could not connect to the internet'

Can anything else connect to the internet?
That error message usually relates to however you
access the internet, not MSAS.

Hello missniccibob

Open Internet Explorer, click File and ensure that Work
Offline is not checked.
