Update error 80070012

I tried to install this update:

"Hewlett-Packard - Printers - HP Color LaserJet 1600 / Hewlett-Packard
Printers software update released in February, 2011"

However, it failed. I got the following error:

"Code 80070012 / Windows Update encountered an unknown error."

Why is this?
