update error 0x8024402c

I have downloaded Beta 2 and keep getting this message when trying to update
the definitions. "Unable to complete the update 0x8024402c" I have tried to
restart and some of the other solutions, but nothing seems to work. Could you
please help.

I have the same problem. I suspect that your automatic updates are disabled
through some corporate Group Policy. So the question that I would pose is
how can we do a manual download and install of the definitions...and how can
we do a manual install of Windows Updates as well? Any suggestions? Thanks

To manually update WD suggest you open it, click the down arrow next to
the Question mark at the top, and choose About Windows Defender. Now
click the Check for Updates button.
To obtain updates from Windows Updates manually, use IE to visit Windows
Update by clicking Tools, then Windows Updates. Click the Use
administrator options in the left frame.
