Eraser is an advanced security tool (for Windows), which allows you to
completely remove sensitive data from your hard drive by overwriting it
several times with carefully selected patterns. Works with Windows 95,
98, ME, NT, 2000, XP and DOS.
Eraser is Free software and its source code is released under GNU
General Public License.

V5.8
Option to erase first and last 2k of a file i.e. a ultra quick erase
Option to password protect the app from unauthorised usage.
Erase files on reboot.
Secure moving of files.
When erasing recycle bin also erase Norton unerase files.
Option to shutdown or reboot after finishing the erase process

There is no PGP signature.
This version source code is not yet released.
Does not include the latest version of DBAN.

Thanks for pointing these things out, Guy. It's been a long time since
v5.7 was released, and I'm still quite happy with it. None of the listed
improvements sound like anything I'm in desperate need of, so I'll just
hang loose awhile on updating to give them time to work out those bugs
you mention.

Thanks for pointing out. At least one bug seems a bit serious. I'll go
back to 5.7 for the time being.
