I linked a table from a German version of SQL Server 2000. I can open the
table and can edit the fields, but as soon as I want to save the table I
receive a message that the current record is in use by another user. I can
only copy my changes to the clipboard, but can't save them. The record
locator shows the reguar triangle.
I use an English version of Access 2003. Default Open mode is "shared".
Default record locking is "edited record" and "open databases uses
record-level locking" is selected. I'm the only user that accesses the table.
The only other access can happen via an order form on a web site that's
programmed in ASP. Access from the web site is very seldom (0-5 a day). I can
access and edit the tables via SQL Server Enterprise Manager without a
problem.
Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong and how I can make the linked table
editable. Thanks.
