I got an on-screen notice of an update for Windows
Messenger. I clicked "Yes, install the update." (or
something similar to that) but the process crashed with an
error (which I reported via the XP Error Reporting
Service) but no my Messenger won't sign in because it
claims: "Signing in to .Net Messenger failed because the
service could not be found. Please make sure that you are
connected to the internet." But, of course, I am
connected (or else I couldn't send this message).
I tried using Add/Remove Programs to delete Windows
Messenger and then reinstall it, but it didn't help. What
should I do?
