Update Auto Installation Error

Hi,

I'm trying to install the Windows Automatic Updating for use with Update
Services Server, I've downloaded WUAU22.msi but when I try to install it, I
get the following error: -

"Microsoft Windows Update Auto Update requires Windows 2000 SP2 or Windows
XP"

I'm running Windows 2000 SP4, and I have just made sure that I have the
latest Windows Installer on my system.
Does anyone know what is causing the error, or how to solve it?

Hi Ben,
The reason you're getting this error is that Service Pack 3 and 4 (and XP
SP1) already contain Windows Automatic Update client v 2.2. The WUAU22.msi
update is intended *only* for Win2K SP2 and XP SP0.
