Update 811493 never stays installed

I notice that, eventhough Windows says my installation of security
update 811493 is successful (doesn't seem to require a restart), the
next day, I find that Automatic Updates finds I need to get it again.
I'm running Windows 2000 SP2.

This was scheduled to be fixed today (3/9), and it seems to have been, at
least on my machines. Try rebooting your computer--I know...you already did
that, but today it should actually work.

Hey, Ken. Thanks. It's nice to know it's not just me, and it's a known
problem.
 
I have the same problem at some desktops, but when I log-
in as a administrator the update runs OK
 
I had the same problem. It wasn't listed in Add/Remove
Program list. Once I restarted my computer it got
installed and was listed in Add/Remove Programs list.
