I have a Celeron 333 with a 6.4 g HD, the M.B. is a 82443LX/EX. My
question is, what is the largest hard drive I can use with this mother
board?

I don't know, but check with the websites for your motherboard manufacturer
and especially for your BIOS chip. The Google search engine is a great
search tool.

However, judging from the size of your existing HD, your system could very
well be limited to 8.4GB unless you upgrade your BIOS. Of course there are
3rd-party program such as EZ-BIOS that will allow larger hard drives, but I
don't like to use them because they are just one more "middle man" in the
mix.

Good luck.

If there is no suitable BIOS upgrade (board may be obsolete) there is
also the option of a PCI ATA disk controller such as from Promise
(also badged by Maxtor and WD).
