Unzipping documents

Does anyone know why it takes so long to unzip a document? I first used the
native compression system and then tried Winzip 11... and they both took 15
minutes to unzip a 6mb file. That seems ridiculous! I also tried other
zipped files and one even said an hour!

Please help,

TIA

I have the same issue. I downloaded a 600kb zip file and it takes a good
15-20 seconds to extract. I like the build-in extract feature, but yes,
it's ridiculous. I thought it was just me.

If I were to use a third party program, I would just use WinRAR (as I have
to use a lot of rar files anyway), but for zip files, I would rather just
use the built-in. Would rather not have to open extra programs just to
unzip.

Hi,

FYI, unzip is a command line tool...
