When I am using Outlook the following website address (www.popnav.com) populates my address bar and redirects me to the website. I have run several programs attempting to identify and eliminate this problem with no success. How can I stop this annoying practice?

A google search on "popnav spyware" brought up a lot of hits....have you
tried AdAware from www.lavasoftusa.com ? Make sure to update the config file
before running it.

I'm having the exact same problem, and can not access my in-box. The Ad-Aware program (version 6.0) is not offering a remedy. How do I update the config file?

Search your Registry for "popnav" and remove all references to it.

Brian.Tillman is the name, smiths-aerospace.com is the domain.

I don't speak for Smiths, and Smiths doesn't speak for me.

Nothing in my registry....not one single reference.

I saw another reference to this in the microsoft.public.outlook folder.
Here's the message:

When I open my outlook 2002, the view window goes to
http://www.popnav.com/ within about 5 seconds after
opening. This is a new one on me. I hate it. How can I
get rid of it?

I got rid of it by locating the following file and renaming it. Use
Windows Explorer, go to the "Windows" folder, then the "System32"
folder, and look for a file called MSrdk.xml. Rename it to MSrdk.bak.
This seems to have eliminated the problem for us.

What AdAware won't catch, Spybot Search&Destroy might.
Are you running AdAware 6.81 with the latest config file?
