As I posted a couple of days ago, recently when I turn on my PC (running
XP on it) it automatically launches Netscape (my default browser) and
goes to blasphemy.killercarrot.co.uk.

Following the instructions given by experts in this group, I have
installed both Ad Aware SE and Spybot S&D and cleaned my PC using both
programs. Also I deleted entries in the registry that contain
"blasphemy", but when I restart my PC this page is still being displayed
automatically and that entry in the registry is still there as well.

Could any expert shed some light on this? After I delete the entry in
the registry, do I have to save the registry in some way?
Thank you very much for your help.

Ken

We use Ad-Aware, but have switched to SpySweeper, it
appears to find and fix more problems than Spybot.
Updates require a small subscription fee, but it works
quite well. When my friends say their computer is
broken, I run those two programs and they are fixed. You
should know your environment and software well enough to
not let SpySweeper block it, however. My techs have
blown up installs by electing to block apps that were
core apps.
