unwanted wallpaper

I was online, and when I signed off, there is an unwanted
background on my screen. I tried changing it from the
Control Panel's display and I tried just clicking a
different picture online to set it as wallpaper. Neither
worked, and it seems like the computer doesn't realize
the change because the display doesn't show it. How do I
get rid of this thing?

Hi Chris,

Try this. Start the registry editor (Start >> Run REGEDIT) and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control
Panel\Desktop. In the right hand pane, double click on the 'Wallpaper' string value and delete the
value data. Click OK. Close the registry editor and refresh the desktop.
