Rick

Sir,
I am working on a computer with Windows 98 and
Internet Explorer 6. When a URL is entered in the Address
Bar without the preceding http://wwww., the browser opens
a search page rather than the URL. Specifically, the
search page is located at http://193.125.201.50, which is
also the default home page for the browser located from
the Tools Menu, then Internet Options on the General Tab.
Resetting the home page via the "Use Default" button does
not change this as the default home page. If the home page
is reset to another location, such as MSN.com, the
misdirection continues to occur.
How can I stop this problem.
Thank you,
Rick Jacobs

193.125.201.50 = search.xrenoder.com Spyware Hijacker.
Thanks, Mike Burgess!

Go to:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates "hijackthis.log")

Next, HijackThis | Config [button] | Misc Tools [button]
Click: Generate StartupList log [button] (generates "startuplist.txt")
