Unwanted UK Advertisements & Search Results

I'm using a Dell Latitude X200 running on Windows 2000 SP4 and Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106. I'm located in the USA and access primarily US-based websites. My regional settings are all set for English (United States).

Whenever I open a search website (such as Iwon.com, Google.com, ask.com, etc), the majority of the Banner advertisements and search results that I receive are for zzzzzzz.co.uk sites.

I clear my cookie cache and temporary internet files almost daily, I run AdAware and Spybot religously, and I'm relatively knowledgeable about most settings that would influence this type of result. Is there just an influx of UK-based web-advertising and search results on the net during this past year, or could be there a hidden/buried setting that I'm missing in the registry that could influence this type of result from my web searches or pages that I am accessing?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Just to clarify--- the sites that I'm receiving are not specifically "zzzzzzz.co.uk".... they are just various types of related sites with the ".co.uk" designation.

TomPhilly,
Go to: http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/
Download "Hijack This!" [freeware] or download direct (below):
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates: "hijackthis.log")

Next, go to the below location:

Sign in, go to the "Spyware and Hijackware Removal" section.
Press "New Topic", copy and paste hijackthis.log into your new message.

Arnold- thanks for the msg. I've been running AdAware and SpyBot a few
times a week with the most current data files and still seems like every
search site that I go to thinks that I'm browsing from the UK and want links
to UK vendors and websites.
Would there be any cookie files or index.dat files that could somehow have
information that would lead a site to think that I'm browsing from the UK?
