I'm using a Dell Latitude X200 running on Windows 2000 SP4 and Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106. I'm located in the USA and access primarily US-based websites. My regional settings are all set for English (United States).
Whenever I open a search website (such as Iwon.com, Google.com, ask.com, etc), the majority of the Banner advertisements and search results that I receive are for zzzzzzz.co.uk sites.
I clear my cookie cache and temporary internet files almost daily, I run AdAware and Spybot religously, and I'm relatively knowledgeable about most settings that would influence this type of result. Is there just an influx of UK-based web-advertising and search results on the net during this past year, or could be there a hidden/buried setting that I'm missing in the registry that could influence this type of result from my web searches or pages that I am accessing?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
