Unwanted sounds hp laptop

hp pavilion dv1000 laptop. when it has been running for awhile, i
produces a long substained sound like a fan for about 10 seconds, bu
it is coming throught the speakers.Could this possibly be a shor
between powersupply, builtin sound and speakers or something else
please hel
 
you should check with the HP support groups, i don't think this is a windows
issue. Has it always done this or does it only do it with certain programs
running? (check to see what's running in the background).
