My hp pavilion a220n shuts down and restarts for no
apparrent reason. I have been told it is an added
software driver concern, but this system only has the
programs that came with it, I have ran virus scans,
scandisk, and defrag, still out of the blue this computer
will just shut down and then restart all by it self. Can
someone help?

Here's a start spot:

System shutdowns are one of the symptoms of the blaster
virus but you say you've checked for viruses so that's
probably not it. Did you update your virus definitions
before you ran the program?

My computer used to do this, so I called up Support Technicians from my retail store, my computer's company, etc., and they had no idea how to fix it. So they told me send it to them, and they replaced the motherboard of my computer. They also wrote that my computer was filled with viruses, and that it shut down too quickly to remove the viruses. My best solution is to replace your motherboard, individually or send it to someone for help.
