Unwanted "Reminder" window

A window titled "Reminder (plus current date and time)"
pops up. It always displays the "Page cannot be opened"
message from Internet Explorer. This does not happen when
I first go on line or when I first open IE; it happens
only later, even when I'm off line. I have disabled
Reminder from the Start-up list in System Configuration
Utility. I have installed and run spyware programs. It
continues to happen. If I could disable the Reminder
program completely I would do that since I never use it.
Any suggestions? mcmilval
