Hi,

I have following problem:
the web sites are always refreshing themselves, when I am browsing through
two or more open windows in my Internet explorer. So when I click on one
window it automatically refresh itself and the same goes when I click on
other window.
Please help.
thanks.

How do you go about "toggling" from one window to the other?
My preference is to use the ALT+TAB keys. (press ALT key, hold, & press TAB key. keep holding ALT. keep tapping TAB until the window you want is highlighted in the box). Am not sure if this will get around the refresh, but it's worth a try.

thanks for the hint, but still the same. after i change the window just for a
sec, it immediately starts reloading. is there anything else that can be done?
thanks

Hi duso :-)

You don't mention the version of Windows you are using, but, try the
following and see if it helps:

Disable the Auo-refresh and see if that helps:

Tools>Options->Security>Check the Allow "META REFRESH".
Other wise the META tag is used by the site to refresh the page.

For XP
Tools>Internet Options->Security>Click on the Internet icon>Custom Level
Scroll down to Miscellaneous>Uncheck "Allow META REFRESH".
OK out

Do you have Flash and/or Java installed? The page may be refreshing due to
animations
which may be looking for one or both of these.

Update your scripting engine. The latest scripting engine can
be found at:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/downloads/list/webdev.asp
or
For 2000 and XP go to
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...43-7e4b-4622-86eb-95a22b832caa&DisplayLang=en
The install includes a new jscript.dl

Update your video driver -

If you don't know the location of your Video driver, or how to find it:
Location for XP
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q314854
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/games/learnmore/updatingdrivers.mspx
or......
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q314854
Find the information on your video driver. Then go to the website for mfg.
of the video driver and look for the update to download and install. There
may also be a Update Driver button on the dialog box you can use to go
direct to the update download site.

Hope this helps.
