We have a user that is getting pop-ups on his desktop every 10 seconds or so. Is there a place I can find where this coming from in the registry? I am running Windows XP Professional. The security screen is coming up asking if I want to install a program.

Try downloading Spybot - Search & Destroy..It's a great
freeware piece of software that crushes items like the one
you have on your system..

Rob,

Please turn off your HTML and do yourself a favor and trim that signature not to
divulge so much information - you've heard about identity theft issues...

If the popups are occurring in an "offline" situation, you have a Spyware
problem.

Removal Tool, your choice, novice users, Lavasoft's Ad-aware,
http://ftp.pcworld.com/pub/new/privacy___security/aaw6181.exe

Lavasoft/Ad-aware home: http://www.lavasoftusa.com

Advanced users, SpyBot Search & Destroy,
http://studserver.uni-dortmund.de/~su1669/spybotsd12.exe

SpyBot home: http://security.kolla.de/
SpyBot How-To: http://www.tomcoyote.org/SPYBOT/

Install either but both are not necessary, reboot, read FAQ and overview, use
online update feature to obtain the latest reference files, scan for Spyware
much like you would with your pre-installed anti-virus scanner.
Rid your machine of unwanted Spyware pests.

HTH
