Unwanted multiple calendars

For some reason, I've ended up with multiple Outlook
Calendars. When I make an appointment, it goes into a
calendar in my personal folders. When I accept an
appointment, it goes into the primary Outlook calendar.
How can I get rid of the primary calendar (since the vast
majority of my appointments are in the personal folder
calendar)? Alternatively, how can I copy the entire set
of appointments from my personal folder calendar into the
primary calendar and then make all my and accepted
appointments go into the primary calendar? Ideally, I
want just one calendar file.

It's in the Personal Folders.

However, in further reviewing of posts in this folder, I
came across the following fix that worked for my problem
(it didn't get rid of the unwanted calendar, but it
allowed me to put all my appointments in the Calendar
calendar and allows me now to have reminders, synch with
my Palm, etc.). I still have the other calendars but
they are not in use so this works perfectly for me:

....switch your secondary calendar to the By Category
view ...(which is unfiltered by default), select all
items using CTRL+A, and drag them to the primary Calendar
folder.
.....

I still don't understand the difference between "my personal folder
calendar" and "the primary calendar." Please explain which hierarchy of
folders each resides in.

You might want to describe your problem and mail environment in detail.
