My temporary internet files folder, favorites folder and
cookies folder keep getting flooded with casino and porn
files and cookies. Even when I'm not logged on to the
internet they come in. I've run spybot, adaware, norton
antivirus, free surfer, and nothing solves the problem.
How can I eliminate this problem? Do I need to switch to
Netscape?

First download and use spybot http://security.kolla.de/ and adaware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/ to clean up your system and
get rid of the flood of things you are getting. Once you have done that,
you will need to make some security changes to prevent it happening again.

Close all instances of IE and OE
Control Panel | Internet Options

Click on the "Security" tab
Highlight the "Internet" icon, click "Custom Level"

1) "Download signed ActiveX scripts" = Prompt
2) "Download unsigned ActiveX scripts = Disable
3) "Initialize and script ActiveX not marked as safe" = Disable
4) "Installation of Desktop items" = Prompt
5) "Launching programs and files in a IFRAME" = Prompt

Click on the "Content" tab
Click the "Publishers" button

Highlight and click "Remove" any unknowns, click Ok

Click on the "Advanced" tab
Uncheck: "Install on demand (other)", click Apply\Ok

I did what you suggested, and for a while it seemed like
things had stopped. Then suddenly they came flooding back
in. I can actually hear 'clicking' in the background when
it's happening. Any other ideas?
