Unwanted IEs loaded till XP crashed

Hi. Can someone please advise on how I can prevent the
following problem: I happened to visit a website (non-
porn, of course..) and when I closed the IE window, so
many IE windows were loaded automatically till my XP
crashed. Even my firewall couldn't prevent that from
happening. I scanned my drives with spybot but couldn't
find any spyware. My NAV didn't find any virus or trojan
either. Thanks!
