Although i keep deleting it, a adult site icon continually appears on my desk top. I have no idea how it gets there and do not want it on my system. I have looked into its properties and it is in my start up settings. How do i get rid of it once and for all.

Get and run ad-aware
And secondly do not go to sites that put the icon on you're computer in the
first place.

Martin,

There are three free and useful products which you should use
regularly.

Get a combination of HijackThis and Spybot S&D, and expert advice at
SWI Forums. Complete instructions for getting and using both are
available at:
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/index.php?showtopic=5187

Also, Ad-Aware, which complements Spybot S&D:
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

Cheers,

Chuck
