Unwanted "grbrssbsacs" toolbar in IE6

Hi there,
Somehow a new toolbar called "grbrssbsacs" has been added
to the browser window. Although it can be closed, it is
very tenacious and reappears every time a page loads or
refreshes.
How can I eliminate this from appearing with the browser?

I suspect Spyware.

Navigate to the SpyBot S&D section.

Install, reboot, read FAQ and overview, use online update feature to obtain
the
latest reference files, scan for Spyware much like you would with your
pre-installed anti-virus scanner.
Rid your machine of unwanted Spyware pests.

I am sorry i don't have your answer, but I have the same
problem and am hoping someone here can help, and will
know "how to" delete these added/unwanted advert.

These things are almost always in a few locations. The best bet is to get
the nasty cleaners that many recommend here. But the places where these
things (files) can usually be found depend on the operating system. Here's
the places in Windows 2000; you'll need to transpose this to your own.

C:\Documents and Settings\%profile%\Application Data
C:\Documents and Settings\%profile%\Local Settings\Application Data
C:\Documents and Settings\%profile%\Local Settings\Temp
C:\Documents and Settings\%profile%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
C:\WINNT\system32
C:\WINNT\Downloaded Program Files
C:\WINNT
C:\WINNT\occache
C:\WINNT\Program Files\Common Files

You won't find something in every one of these places. These are just the
most likely places where the nasties can be found.

Now you have to have show all files and folders enabled o see some of these
folders in Windows Explorer AND you may NOT be able to see all the files in
these folders using Windows Explorer. You have to go to those folders in
the command prompt and do a attrib to see all the files or use winfile from
Windows NT 4.

The other places where the infections occur are in the registry. The nasty
cleaners:

HiJackThis
Adware 6
BHO Cop

will get those.
