Unwanted browser sound effects

My IE6 got hijacked. When ever I click to open or go to
another page I get sound effects. The sound is of gun
shots. With each page there are more sounds. I have run Ad-
Aware6, Spy-Bot, System Mechanic, And RegCleaner and
deleted the cookies.

Short of wiping the drive, any suggestions???

Did you check the sounds assigned to various events in the Sound applet
in Control Panel?

There are no IE sounds in the Sound Event Applet.

BHODemon did not find anything other than the Adobe
Reader. Is there a registry key to edit?
Is it an ActiveX? Java applet?
