Unwanted Brower activation

Lately, my Internet Explorer will activate and dial-up
whenever I click on Explorer (file mgr) or several other
files. It will also sometimes activate whenever I just
turn on my computer. How do you keep it from self-
activation!!

Scan for spyware! You may have an autodialler parasite, such as:

If you don't already have it, get Spybot S&D. There's a short tutorial and
download link here:
http://tomcoyote.org/SPYBOT/

After installing, press Online, and search for, put a check mark at, and
install all updates.

Fix everything SpybotSD labels in red.
