Is there a way of stopping adverts from coming on the
screen, and banning them completely from being received?
I am getting very annoyed, especially when irrelevant ones
appear to the subject I am looking into. I am a novice
with computers and Internet so simple steps and language
would be helpful?

Install either but both are not necessary, reboot, read FAQ and overview, use
online update feature to obtain the latest reference files, scan for Spyware
much like you would with your pre-installed anti-virus scanner.
