Unusually slow

I recently purchased a dell XPS running windows XP and
Outlook 2002. Outlook is painfully slow to respond when I
move from one message to the next. Any ideas on what
could be wrong?

Try turning off the "Instant Messaging"

Open the TOOLS menu
Select OPTIONS...
Select the OTHER tab

Turn off the check mark next to "Enable Instant Messaging
on Microsoft Outlook"
