I have 3 computers in my home network, and one of them is Terminal Server. Reason for that is pretty dumb: I simply cannot share my old, reliable Canon printer between Windows 7 and Windows XP desktops (latest drivers were for Win 2000). Idea was to use remote sessions to manually print using the printer attached directly to server. This way, other computers don't need printer drivers, as they would actually use server resources for printing.
At the end, this simply doesn't work - I cannot print from remote sessions, although I can print when I'm physically at the server-computer (?!). Moreover, if I delete printer from remote session, there is no "New hardware has been found" window at the next logon, i.e. the printer remains dead.
If anyone has any idea, I would be most graceful, as long as it's not "buy compatible printer"
