Whilst having a clear out I have come across three 20Gb hard drives -
all same speed but different brands. All in working order.
Can anyone come up with an imaginative use for them?
Thank you.
These are stretching it a bit but:
20 Gig? You could probably use them for win98se and make a dual boot
but why such an old software? I did have one like this for my father in
law when he was 89 yrs. When he called I could boot it up and give
him specific directions. But he's gone now and that drive got tossed.
A bare bones install of Win XP or Win 7 might? just might fit on one
for testing purposes.
More drive letters to store very specific data to. PS I have an
application that makes and stores many little files, 1000's. And as
they write they fragment the drive. So I keep a separate device to do
this on. One logic behind this is efficiency, since a separate motor
and heads move faster when not also being used for the OS and other data
issues. And my application easily stores the data in under 15 Gigs.
Perfect for this size drive.
And lastly, Paper weights. Yep, I've tossed a lot of 10's 20's and
30's out. For 49$ or so, on sale, I can buy .5TB now, +/-. So why
screw with 20 Gig.
