Does anyone know how to remove unused network connections? These type of
connections seem to get stuck within the registry after changing out network
cards, etc. Is there a way to see these without having to go through the
registry?

Thanks in advance for anyone's help with this.

if you uninstall the adapter via the device manager before you remove the
hardware and change it out.... you dont have to worrry about that.

This is typically caused by "ghost" devices that remain in the registry.
To see them and remove them, try this:

1. Click Start, click Run, type "cmd.exe" (without the quotation
marks), and then press ENTER.

2. Type "set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1" (without the quotation
marks), and then press ENTER.

3. Type "Start DEVMGMT.MSC" (without the quotation marks), and then
press ENTER.

4. Click View, and then click Show Hidden Devices.

5. Expand the Network Adapters tree.

6. Right-click the dimmed network adapter, and then click Uninstall.
