I am adapting the TASKS "Template" (actually an Access Db) provided by MS.
It almost meets all my requirements and I have been able to modify/adapt all
items EXCEPT for some of their forms which serve the function of allowing the
user of another form to add, for example, another task to the task list.
Simplest (it seems) problem is that once the form (Task Details) is open you
can not get to the design view. You have to enter design view befor you open
the form, when you modify it and open it to look at it and check
functionality you have to exit the form before you can go back to the design
view.
Bigger problem is that except for changing the formatting, it seems
impossible to add any fields to the form that function in the way the already
existing control functions (adding data to the tables (there are two) that
have to be updated.
Can anyone provide any insight into how this form (Task Details) does what
it does and why you can not modify it?
Thanks!
