I had MAJOR CRASH, I have an eMachine computer, nad no
choice but to use their "Restore CD"S" It completly re-
formats my HD. But when I did that, I never unplugged my
other hardware ie, printer etc. Machine now is very
unstable, should I re format my disk again, making sure
all this time nothing else is plugged in.

Your problems might be solved if you (you'll have to do all of this
anyway, even if you do reinstall X):

1. Download and install all Windows Updates.
2. Download the latest virus definitions for your antivirus package and
run a full virus scan.
3. Download and install the latest drivers for your peripherals (check
Device Manager to see if anything internal is reporting an error).
4. Download and install the latest patches for your installed applications.
5. Download and install ad-aware, spybot, spywareblaster, and run scans
and immunize the PC.

Since you don't have much installed at this point, trying again would be a
worthwhile effort. Detach any devices that were not a part of the original
system. Then run the Restore CDs per eMachines directions.
