Unspecified error

Everytime I try to play the clip with the music on movie maker it says
unspecified error and I can't play anything or edit anything anymore... the
pc doesn't freeze up and I can still use the mouse but if I move files it
wont work etc and I can't play anything.... any suggestions?
I'm using 2.1

..avi files

I also can't save the full movie file as a real video cause it says error,
either there is no more disc space,or the files don't exist or the location
you want to save it in doesn't exist anymore, but all of these still exist
and I still have enough disc space.
I can save it as a project though.

MM doesn't have the option to save as real player format, what are you using
for that?
..avi is no use, there are hundreds of avi files, it's the bit that sits in
front of the .avi that is important. If you don't know which it is, use
avicodec or Gspot to tell you. Only dv-avi works wioth MM.

no I'm pretty sure it's suppost to work.. I've always used the same camera
for my videos and they all used to work before... it also used to always
save... I'm thinking that I got a bug in my system cause quite a few problems
are giving me trouble now so it probably isn't just mm...
