I have recently installed Beta-1 on both my own and
girlfriends computers.

Since installing, both of us have experienced unprompted
automatic dial-up initiation while working off line. I
use Sympatico and she uses MNSI Internet Systems. This
has occurred 3 or 4 times for each of us during the last
week.

Neither of us had this problem before installing Beta-1.
We both use Windows XP, Home Version.

Is this a problem other users have experienced and is a
remedy being worked on?

Hi

Disable "Auto update".

Start MSAS > Menu Options - Settings, Autoupdater
uncheck "Enable automatic updates".

Remember to manual check for updates, Menu file
Normal definition update is on fridays.

and "Don´t scan your PC to death", its enough to
scan weekly after new defs arrives.

Study how "Real time protection" works for MSAS.

Check the properties of your network connection > go the Advanced Tab, under
Internet Connection Sharing, ensure that "Allow other network users to
connect through this computer's Internet Connection" is not checked. I would
also check under the Options Tab of the dial up connection and change the
redial attempts to 0.

Thanks, Andre. Other Users was already disabled, but did
change redial attempts to 0. So far, no more problems!
Thanks!
