Hello everybody

Could somebody please tell me how to figure out, which record i'm standing on, the old record or the new one (have not saved yet

Best regards
NguyenTheMy

Sure.
Look at the left side where the record selector is.
If there is a black triangle then it is an unedited record.
If it is a pencil with 3 dots then it is an edited record that has not been
saved yet.
If you hit ESC you undo the last edited field, if you hit ESC a 2nd time you
undo the whole record.

Hello Joe

Thank you for your reply, when you browse the table, it's easy to find out if you are on the unsaved record or not, but when you're in the input form, how to figure out

Best regards
NguyenTheMy.

The same way I just told you.

Maybe I am not understanding your question?

If you want to know - how can you tell when you are on the NEW record there
are a few clues.
1. It is blank.
2. Some default values are filled in.
3. The record count is 1 gretaer than when you started.

Hello Joe

Thanks for helping me, my english is not fluently, sorry
I've got a form with no textbox, but it's got a table as it's recordset.(the form doesn't show data)
So how to figure out which record I'm standing on, the new one (have not saved) or the old one

Best regards
NguyenTheMy

Look at the left side of the FORM where the record selector is.
(it is the tall vertical bar with a black triangle pointing to the right.)
(check the Propeties of the Form ans be sure Record Selectors is Yes.)

If there is a black triangle then it is an unedited record.

If it is a pencil with 3 dots then it is an edited record that has not been
saved yet.
