Unresponsive Excel

Hi, i have a problem deleting columns in an Excel sheet. On attmpting to
delete Excel decides to open a copy of itself and a blank workbook too. A
major problem as the file is 14 Mb large, which crashes Excel into an
unresponsive state.

Any advice greatly appreciated . . . Stuart

This sounds like your file has acquired some sort of corruption.

Have a look at my page about corrupt files (I would advise you to start with
the advice at the bottom of that page about roundtripping the file through
HTML:
