I was wondering, I don't mean to be rude at all to ask
this but i'd like to know if any of you guys have had
problems in relating to getting paid a fair amount when it
comes to coding.
Unfortunately I don't come from a degree background or
anything like that and I dont have commercial experience
in coding, but over the past 4 months I have produced a
prototype version of my software that is infinately better
then the hunk of cack my company is using at the moment.
Problem is, is that my company is offering to only pay me
$5,000p/a more then I was on when I was working in
telemarketing (grand total of $26000).
I am fully designing and developing this system, on my
ownsome. Is this anywhere near right? It just seems wrong,
I know they were intending on spending about $400,000 on
the new system and now they'll be getting if for free
(well $26000).
I haven't signed anything yet and I really dont want to
refuse anything because I want this work and I love
programming.
I just wondered if any of you other developers had ever
had any problems with things like this or know of any good
ways to improve my bartering position(save ransom or
sabotage).
Sincerely
