Ok I am a newbie with frontpage 2003. I saved my page and after I saved it I
went to open the page up to look at it. It came up with the message
Unrecognized Windows Exception (0xc000001d). I also looked in the code for
the index page and it shows nothing in there. I don't know what is wrong I
worked really hard on a page and now it is gone or something.

Can someone help me with this?

Hi Steve,

Ok I am a newbie with this. Where it is saved at is: C:\Documents and
Settings\Owner\My Documents\My Web Sites.

When I finished doing my page I went to save as. Saved it as a webpage. In
the folder My Web Sites. I saved as a webpage. Then it ask about save
embedded with my images and stuff. I clicked saved with that. I closed out
of my page then went to go and open it to look at it and nothing is there.

Ok.
You need to create a web first, "before" you create and save any pages so that FrontPage will create the necessary
"hidden" metadata files which track changes / updates to your pages and also the location of any items that are used in
your pages.

So, Open FrontPage, click File > New and then in the right side panel select "One page website"
( don't concern yourself about the "one page" you can create as many pages as you want later )

FrontPage should then prompt you for a location to save the site to and also a name for it.
Choose a one word name because FrontPage is going to create a folder with this name, and the folder ( which is known as
the root folder ) will contain all of the hidden files required to manage your site.

Then the site will open with a new blank page named index.htm
Edit the index.htm page as desired and when you save it FrontPage will save the changes to your new web site.

Unfortunately, this means you have to start over with your page, but it must be done.

Oh Steve, I think I may know what is wrong. It is deleting my files
something with my installation with my disk is not working and it is not
saving what I am doing. Then when I go to open it up it is gone. I just
got done doing a repair and it did not work and now did a complete reinstall
and that did not work either. I don't know what to do now. These are the
original disk and I don't know what I can do to correct it.
