I have a few users in my domain who have logged in this morning and had
new profiles created for them on their respective local machines.
After loging on to our domain countless times in the past, these users
logged in and the local machines did not recognize their profile which
is %username%. Instead, it created new profiles and named them
%username%.domain.
This problem is easily fixed by simply renaming the new profile to .old
and renaming the desired profile to %username%.domain.
My question is why did this happen?
I could potentially have a large scale problem if this spreads to my
other domian users. Thanks you in advance for any insight into this
issue.
