Unrecognized Database Format

I've been using Access (current version 2002) for our product db and
uploading it to our Web store the same way for years. All of a sudden when I
try to Export, I get an Export Text Wizard message saying "unrecognized
database format."

The only thing I've changed recently is the location of the backup copy.

I would appreciate anyone's advice.

There are only 2 causes for that message:

1. You are trying to open a later version than what you have.

2. The database is corrupt.

I will hazard a guess and say that corruption is the reason. Either repair
your existing file (Tools ... Database Utilities ... Compact & Repair
Database) or restore from your backup.

To add to Arvin's reply if it's corrupt see the Access Corruption FAQ
for some additional things to try.
