Unrecognized Database Format

My dbase was working fine yesterday. Today I'm getting an
error msg "Unrecognized Database Format" (and then the
file extension) error messages. I tried reparing the
dbase, "repair successful" but still get the error msg.
Tried opening a new file and importing all the contents
into the new file. The Dbase did not import a handful of
reports because they were "unrecognized database format".
Dbase works, but now I'm missing these reports. These
reports worked the other day. Any suggestions/help is
appreciated.

Be thankful for what you got. <smile>

You could try decompiling the original and seeing if that helps.
After you make a copy of the original MDB. See the decompile page at
my website for more info. But I doubt that will help.

Many thanks Tony, but it wouldn't even let me compact the
dbase. Says unrecognized database format. Any other ideas?

Try the jetcomp tool then. See the Corruptions page at my website for
links and more things to try.
