Unread messages at the top?

I am using Outlook XP on an XP Pro box. Within my inbox I mark messages
'read' after I have processed them. Is there a sort that will arrange the
messages so that all of the unread messages are at the top, sorted by date,
and all of the unread messages are at the bottom, sorted by date? I tried
sorting by clicking on the column header icon that looks like a sheet of
paper (with the top right corner folded over) but there are still a few read
messages mixed in among the unread ones, and messages to which I have
replied appear at the very top.

Thank you

Hi,

Thank you for the posting. As you indicated you would like to arrange the
messages so that all of the unread messages are at the top, sorted by date,
and all of the unread messages are at the bottom, sorted by date.

To do so we can customize the current view, and then select Sort by Unread
and then Received.

1. On the View menu, point to Current View and click Customize Current View.
2. Click Sort button.
3. Select Unread in the first field and then select Received in the second
field.

By this way, all of the unread messages are at the top, sorted by date, and
all of the unread messages are at the bottom, sorted by date.

Hope the above information and suggestion helps and answers your question.
If anything is unclear, please let me know.

Sincerely,

Cherry Qian
