I have tuned up my home network and I can now browse Internet from any of my
two computers. A thing only darken my life now is

time to time the dial-up of my host computer begins to try to connect to
Internet unpromptedly. It happens every time when I enable network from my
client computer. And after this (when the network is enabled) it happens
arbitrarily.

What and where should I click to fix this bug?

Thanks in advance

I am no pro but I had this problem and it was some sort of
spyware that dialed out.I could not beleave it.I had zone
alarm so it did not finish dialing out.Due to ZA showing
the name of the program dialing out I tracked it down and
erased it.Through research I found the company that
produced it and e-mailed them.It was placed in a share
ware progran I had downloaded.I cant remeber the name this
was 2 years ago. This may not be your problem but its an
option for you to explore if you cant find another
solution..

It's not an XP "bug" but rather a program requesting internet access! It
could be spyware or a trojan as the other poster suggests or simply a
program that is set to check for updates on the Web.

By the way, I think you have introduced a new word to the English language:
"unpromptedly"!

FWIW,
Len
