I've got a dual LAN motherboard and when I'm not using
both LAN ports, there's an icon in the system tray
telling me that one of the cables is unplugged. Ok, I
know this, I unplugged it, how do I get rid of the icon
in the system tray?

Hi,

In order to resolve the issue, remove the icon from
taskbar. The icon can be eliminated in the following
manner.

1. Click Start, Control Panel, Appearance and Themes,
Taskbar and Start Menu.
2. Make sure Hide inactive icons is checked and then click
Customize.
3. Find Local Area Network connection in the list of
taskbar icons and click on it.
4. Click the drop down box next to the Local Area
Connection and choose Always Hide.
5. Click OK, Apply, OK.

Once if you connect your Presario in a Home Network this
icon will be automatically enabled.

Thanks and Regards,
